The Quinte Red Devils have once again proven their ability to develop prospects for the OHL Priority Selection, resulting in another successful event for the Minor Hockey Association.
In total, three talented forwards were chosen from the respected program this weekend. It is also worth mentioning that the Red Devils have now produced multiple selections in each of the past ten drafts.
The organization set a record with twelve players picked in 2022.
These outstanding results are a testament to their unrelenting commitment to promoting, encouraging, and nurturing top-tier talent in the region.
Jean-Christoph Lemieux was the first local skater taken when the Windsor Spitfires selected the Belleville resident with the 22nd overall pick.
The highly skilled and competitive centreman scored 24 goals and 36 assists in 35 games last season. His offensive production continued into the playoffs when he registered 19 points in nine matches.
The fifth round concluded with the London Knights taking fellow pivot Matthew Airhart of Napanee.
The Red Devils captain tallied 36 points in 30 games. As an affiliated player with the Cobourg Cougars this season, and has appeared once in OJHL postseason action with the franchise.
In the seventh round, the Saginaw Spirit added natural scorer Liam Campbell from Elginburg. The left-shot forward recorded an impressive 25 goals and 47 points in 29 contests.
