It was another championship season for Quinte Red Devils graduate Owen Beck.
His outstanding performance at the Memorial Cup helped the host Saginaw Spirit defeat the London Knights to secure junior hockey’s top prize.
Throughout the tournament, Beck scored four times and totalled five points in as many contests, earning him the Stafford Smythe Memorial Trophy, awarded to the most valuable player.
This latest honour only furthers an impressive collection of achievements for the Montreal Canadiens prospect.
Beck previously celebrated a J. Ross Robertson Cup title with the Peterborough Petes last season and won a gold medal with the Canadian National Junior Team at the World Juniors.
He also secured back-to-back OMHA titles with the Red Devils during his Bantam and Minor Midget years.
